I'm looking for an application icon for the Mac. The application name is 'KeyDates'. It reads dates (non-birthdays) from the Contacts database and creates a new Calendar and displays those on the calendar. It's similar to how Apple does the Birthday's calendar, but for the other dates. I am building this because I wanted to remember important dates about my contacts, e.g., Anniversaries, pet birthdays, other 'Key' or significant dates. You can enter them, but there is no way to see them on a calendar today.
Attached are screen shots of the calendar after it's created (mac_calendar.png), and the contacts application to create the non-birthday dates for a contact. Two screen shots are attached of how the application looks now. One is of the preferences and the second is the main UI of the application - it's a status bar application - running in the background to keep the calendar up to date.
I really like the look, feel and color of the 'preferences' icons of the attached image (keydates_preferences_panel.png) - the round contacts and calendar flatness and colors are appealing. I'd like to avoid blue (as it's so common) if possible. A green or an orange would work?
If possible use the upcoming Mac OS X release - Yosemite as a guideline.
