For a Historic monument’s owner Monument from Middle Ages We are writing a book about a 11th century priory based in south of France (Luberon). The owner organized archeological excavations and a great restoration program for this beautiful monument in the 1980’s. This book will recount the history of the church, from the origins to nowadays. The amazing work done contributed to « resuscitate » this priory which was, before, in ruins. A first part will focus on archeological excavations’ synthesis. A second part will discribe the restoration program and interior trim. The challenge was to recreate the priory as it was before being in ruins and create a living place which respects the place without distorting it. This book recounts many years of work with a team really invested in this project. We are looking for a creative designer who could make a very sophisticated and elegant model for this book. We have pictures of the priory, archeological remains but also very old manuscripts from 11th century (with a very beautiful typography). The cover has to be unique, creative, reminding the Middle Ages by the colors or materials used. The designer could suggest his own reinterpreation of the manuscript’s typography. The layout has to be airy. This book will be a « coffee table book » with a great part of pictures . The concept is like Midde Ages reinterpreted by « Apple », a very contemporary an uncluttered layout.
