The inspiration behind my logo designs for Mellow Outdoors comes from the company name itself. “Mellow”—defined by the dictionary—means “to unwind or slow down;” and “Outdoors” means “open air.” By using neutral and muted colors, teal and gray, my aim was to create the feeling of unwinding in the great outdoors. While the colors and forest design speak of relaxing or slowing down in nature, the sharp and jagged edges of the mountains give a feeling of adventure.
As far as the imagery goes, the blue mountains are a representation of its reflection in water. The design explores the full outdoors—mountains, forest, and water.
These three designs are variations of one another. They can be used in combination for the brand identity, or individually.
