Ascia got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Korean Skincare Store Needs a Kickass Website

Cosmetics & Beauty
We are a multi-brand cosmetics and skincare brand using only Korean/Asian products appealing to the age group of 16-35. We'd like for it to be fun and edgy but minimal to reflect our multifaceted clientele.
We like color, as you can see in our logo, but we like to pair it up with minimal elements. Our product photography includes memphis elements, along with pastel backgrounds and shadows. We would like our website to reflect this theme and identity. We are a Korean Beauty website selling within the Middle East and education of our product is key.
First Page: Homepage We would like a couple feature image similar to SokoGlam's style, but less information as we find it overwhelming. We want to direct customers to go into each section of our site: Routine, Skincare and a Makeup section. We would like a “lite” version of the Korean Ten Step routine to be displayed on the homepage. The Korean routine is explained in the next paragraph. Page Two: Routine As seen on SokoGlam, Korean's have a ten-step beauty program. We need an educational section on the site to highlight each of these steps that also links them to the corresponding product. The ten steps are as follows: Makeup Remover/Oil Cleanser, Water-Based Cleanser, Exfoliator, Toner, Essence, Treatments/Ampoules, Sheet Mask, Eye Cream, Moisturizer, Sun Protection. Each one needs an explanation and an accompanying photo. Page Three: Skincare This page should display our skincare products in the easiest manner possible. We want them to be categorized in the same structure as the ten-step program listed above. Clean and easy to read. Page Four: Makeup We would like this categorized by product: Lips, Eye, Face, Brows. This page will display all the makeup we carry.
What to avoid
We do not want the site purely designed for desktop, as most of our users shop from their cellphones. Drop down menus are not hated by rather discouraged because they're not as mobile friendly.
We want the site to be clean, easy to use, modern and with great taste. Nothing targeting teenagers or anything to busy to navigate. Please note: we have included our current product photography (it is limited but this is the style we will be using for all of the products we carry) as well as photos with our models for use on the website. We would like these mixed in with whatever stock images you find necessary that show clear skin or editorial style skin/makeup photos. The model photos are unretouched.
