Contest will now end on the 10th of Dec. A lot of designer let me know that the 25th was to long and I listened thank you.

This contest is for a Website template design (no code) for $175.00. Coding skills will have no impact on the decision making for the contest winner. All I care about is getting a really nice template design. The winner will also be offered more work in the future to maintain and enhance the website. If the winner of the contest has the skills to code, I will offer the winner another $55.00 to code the template after this contest is over. That is a total of $230.00 in potential prize money.

We are looking for a professional look that is a little on the hip/hip hop side. (web 2.0)

If you do not know much about the hip hop/ rap culture please please please P.M. me with any questions that will help you make the best template possible. I would not like to lose a great designer just because you don't like or listen to the music. Plus this may help you think outside of the box for a few hours.

Logo- The logo has not been made so you're not looked down to any colors. So have fun.

These 5 pages make up the menu. When designing the menu, please keep in mind that there may be a couple more links added to the in the future.(Reseller Hosting, Vps and so on)

clean, simple, functional and yet, a creative layout
contemporary and professional design
centered orientation
soft, neutral background colors
strong colors, used sparingly
no cute icons
plenty of white space
readable text
easy to navigate

It should be real rappers for any images of artist but this will really just help me see what your design will look like. (so anybody will do for now) I will have it coded where different pic's/images show when reloaded.

The photo that is on the Home page (like this one is one http://www.hostican.com) is one of the most important parts of the design because this will be a area for hip hop artist or hip hop elements such as mic, break dancer, graffiti wall, diamond chain etc

And like hostican.com and dreamhost.com when coded I need the picture to change when reloaded.

For the image that will be placed with the rate plan you don't have to edit it in photoshop to match a particular background color. But you can if your design just doesn't look right.

Like on the dreamhost website you can try to just put a pic in with the background it was taken in as long as its appropriate and sized correctly.

For the sub pages I would like a area like the one you see here http://www.hostican.com/hosting/index.php with the guy setting there. So I can place a different hip hop artist or element such as mic, break dancer, graffiti wall etc............

For the contest, I only need the Home page and Hosting Plans page for review. Initially, you can just submit a Home page; once the Home page is set, you can submit the hosting page. The winner of the contest will design the other pages. These pages to be only slight variations of the Home page.

I will give feedback every 24 hours. (Lord willing)

I'll be honest with my feedback and not waste your time.

All work submitted for this contest must be original. I must receive fully layered PSD files for editing rate plans,text etc in the future. Upon payment of the winning design, all rights to the winning design will be transferred to me.

I reserve the right to end the contest early if a suitable design is submitted before the deadline. The contest is longer then normal because this is a different type of hosting company and it will take a little more time to pin down the design I'm looking for.
