The website, which will be coded into a Wordpress theme, will attract visitors and entice them to book an appointment to ride our Reef Gliders (see below for description of Reef Glider) in Grand Cayman, or to visit us on location once they’ve arrived on the island.
The website will explain what a Reef Glider is, information about the reef and snorkeling in Cayman, the services we offer, and provide the ability to book and pay online prior to arriving on the island.
A Reef Glider is a revolutionary eco-friendly motorized personal watercraft powered by an electric motor. It has a viewing port above, and a tempered glass hull section under the water, which provides an unobstructed and clear view of the marine environment. There is no similar piece of equipment that offers a quality snorkeling-type experience. The rider lies on top of the padded area and controls the craft with simple controls while looking through the viewing port at the beautiful marine life below. A major benefit to using a Reef Glider for viewing marine life on the reef is the ease with which large areas of reef can be seen in a relatively short period. This will appeal to all people who are interested in seeing the reef, including experienced snorkelers who can use the Reef Glider as a scouting platform or people who for one reason or another don't want to get into the water with a mask and snorkel but want to discover the amazing reef and marine life. A Reef Glider glides effortlessly through the water at a top speed of only 4.0 miles and allows any Reef Glider user the power to move along the reef in an area of interest rather than be limited by how well they swim, especially if there is a current running.
Our target audience is not age-specific. We are focused on tourists in the Caribbean of all ages who are looking for something new and different to do on their vacation and are interested in seeing first-hand the marine life but don't want to scuba dive or snorkel with a mask and fins. They are NOT thrill-seekers, but they are explorers and curious about the ocean and the beautiful fish and marine life that inhabit the reefs, including sting rays, sea turtles and parrot fish.
Our customers are for the most part one-time-users, who are willing to spend $90/hour to do a unique and memorable ocean activity. We do, however, want our experience to be memorable enough that people would come back to see the reef again if they are return visitors to the island.
