SamTitle needed a new web page design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 77 designs submitted by 18 freelance designers.
The Coffice
You are in a coffee shop, laptop open, earbuds in, and coffee half done, reading this Design Brief between minor adjustments to another client's design project.
You are a Cofficer, and this contest is to recreate the The Coffice community experience online.
Here's the official stuff:
The Coffice is a business "workstyle" brand bringing together professionals who conduct their business affairs from local coffee shops on a full- part-time or casual basis.
The current website uses Wordpress, with the installed Thesis child theme for additional development. I would like to redesign the current site as a social network; a community-based online destination where "Cofficers" can interact, learn, network, shop, etc., where global Coffice locations (the coffee shops) can be found, and much, much more.
This community can be designed over the Buddypress framework or another similar CMS where you feel The Coffice design will feel best.
***I think it's great that most submissions are recreations of the current Coffice site; however, I would like to upgrade that functionality AND the design to include a community, as well as other areas. If it helps any more, please check out the following link for a list of community-based sites along the lines of the vision I have for TheCoffice.biz:

Also, I will endeavour to provide as much feedback as possible, but it also helps if designers do the same to help flesh out concepts/visions.
Key word = community

Current sections (thecoffice.biz):
• Home
• About (The Coffice/Sam Title)
• Forum
• Media
• Contact
Additional development:
• Buddypress integration
• Buddypress mobile integration: I’ve seen some plugins for this. Are you able to work with them? It doesn’t have to be custom designed. Just optimized to be accessed on a mobile phone browser.
• eCommerce enabled: to handle Coffice directory level purchase transactions and to handle online merchandise store transactions
• Interactive coffee shop (coffice) finder (directory): will be able to have a free, premium or premium plus listing (<~ ecommerce requirement)
• Banner advertising opportunities (will be handled by external agency, but site should be enabled for it)
• Interactive directory of Cofficers (free)
• Login opportunity (encouraged, but not mandatory): to become community member (including login via facebook, Twitter, Disqus, other) and participate in forums
• Social media widget integration
• Live chat
• Marketplace: similar to Kijiji/Craigslist (moderated, only for community members)

99Designs does NOT have many Community website design projects finished or on the go. Not only do you have a chance to win the prize, but the winning design could be used for a case study by the good folks here at 99Designs. That would be a great boost to a portfolio, I think.
Demographic:
Small businesses, entrepreneurs, consultants, etc.
Coffee Shop owners, staff, etc.
Advertisers
When visitors find The Coffice, they should feel like they've just walked into their favorite coffee shop.
Descriptors: comfort, welcoming, quiet, professional, fragrant (not in the "ironic" way), tech savvy, contemporary.
