Description of the product
Nubian Roots is a luxury brand which focuses on using high quality natural ingredients primarily from africa to make highly effective beauty products. The body wash is a sample product. "100% Organic African Black Soap blended with Shea Butter and honey infused with essential oils."
Description of the product target audience
Our target audience are mostly women between the age of 25 and 50 that are health conscious, interested in clean living and are mindful of the product they use on their body. We will be expanding the brand to include Men and Children and whichever design chosen should be able to be modified (through color) while still retaining the identity to be used for men and children.
A one-piece label for a 8oz amber bottle and 8oz amber jar. The label should be very legible and attractive on a shelf. The label should be designed so that 1. There is a bottle and a jar orientation 2. There should be something distinct that can change in color across ranges. 3. Suggestions are designs that are off center, have an interesting play of font. 4. The icon can be used with a contrasting color circle in the back if you think it will be nicer. The icon can be used in any color. We want to label not to look like just a pretty product but something that works, is effective more than smells nice etc. That should be considered in the design. The front panel must include in the Principal display panel (PDP) 1. Brand Name Logo/ Icon 2.Name of Product - Leave In Conditioner 3.Sub text - With shea butter, argan oil and floral waters 4.Net Wt : 8oz (240ml) The side panels should include: 1. No Parabens, No SLS, No mineral oil, No Mineral Oil 2.Made with Natural Ingredients 3. The following should be close to each other to enable stamping all dates at the same time - Manufacture date: - Expiry Date: -Batch #: -Nafdac number: 5.Name and Address of Manufacturer 6.Manufactured by NR Earth Naturals Ilupeju Industrial Estate, Lagos, Nigeria 7. expiry when opened icon ( this is the one with an open jar with lid on top and 6m or 12m etc written in it. Warning/ storage conditions - Store in a cool dry place. Ingredients - Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera, Shea Butter, Hibiscus extract, Glycerin, Argan oil, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract,Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Polyacrylamide, Fragrance/Parfum (Anise Alcohol, Coumarin, Limonene) Directions for Use Apply after conditioning, do not rinse, style as usual Bar Code (must follow the minimum size for bar code) H18mm x W25mm There will be further work to incorporate this design into other product range, possible other branding materials.
What to avoid
1. No stock imagery 2. Not too feminine colors like pink 3. Don't use less than the minimum font size easily viewable. i think it is 1/32" 4. Don't use fonts that cannot be easily read on a product on a shelf competing for attention amongst many other labels. 5. When label is viewed from the front, the side panel information should not show.
