Natural Raw HONEY
Description of the product
At Goldens Creek Apiary we apply natural beekeeping practices to produce raw honey which is harvested and immediately bottled in its natural state using top quality Scandinavian equipment, without pasteurisation, heating or filtration. This method ensures that the healthy vitamins and enzymes remain active in the honey. We follow organic practices in the apiary. The apiary is situated at Myrtle Mountain, where our bees forage in the surrounding pristine forests of South East New South Wales. Our honey is certified organic by the South Coast Producers Association.
Description of the product target audience
People who appreciate healthy natural foods; demand an ethical approach to the production of food; desire the use of organic principles in food production; and favour beekeepers who prioritise the well being of the bee population.
The food label size and design should be suitable for 2 food jar sizes. Firstly a clear square 270 ml jar with a 63 mm twist (400g). Secondly a clear round 375 ml jar with a 63 mm twist (500g). The front of the label should focus on the picture/schematic and the content "Natural Raw HONEY", include weight "500g/400g" and provide a focus on the production of honey using natural beekeeping principles and Kenyan top bar hives. The left side of the label should show the SCPA logo and text stating "Certified organic honey: SCPA Organics Certificate No SCPA413C" and website address "organics.scpa.org.au". There should also be an information box with contact details such as apiary name; email address; space for the apiary's website address and bar code (when available) underneath. The right side of the label should show the nutrition information table for honey; a "INGREDIENTS: 100% Australian Honey" statement; and a "Please recycle" with recycle logo. The text/information boxes should be editable so that we can add website address and other information once available.
What to avoid
Avoid the use of font and imagery that suggests factory production. Our honey is supplied in its totally natural raw state using methods which provide for the well being of the bee population and the surrounding environment. We will supply our own photos which may be incorporated into the design. The designer may wish to use an abstracted version/schematic of these resources - over to the designer. Any photo or drawing of a beehive should be a Kenyan Top Bar Hive (as shown in photo) as these are the beehives we use to allow the bee population to live and collect honey naturally.
