Lauren8558 got their new print or packaging design by running a design contest:
Help Upcoming Whole Foods Brand Reinvent the Recipe Card!

Food & Drink
We provide freshly prepared ingredients to cook delicious and healthy recipes at home. We're available in the produce section of grocery stores and will soon be entering Whole Foods. Each dinner provides a freshly cut vegetable blend, whole grains, and an all-natural gourmet sauce. You just add your choice of protein, saute and serve in only 15 min.
What's your vision?
We'd like to reinvent the recipe card! Alongside the ingredients we give you to prepare your recipe, we include an instruction card that tells you how to cook each of the ingredients (i.e. the grain, veggies, sauce, and protein of choice). We have a current card (attached) but it's not working well for us. It has felt too complicated and not visual enough for people. We need for our card to be a very user-friendly experience. To this end... * Feel free to use words, images, icons, etc. - whatever you think will work best. * There's lots of content - feel free to keep what you think needs to be there and to remove what you think isn't necessary. In general, someone not comfortable in the kitchen should be able to figure it out. * If it helps to know, our brand identity is a cross between Whole Foods and Trader Joe's - we have a very fresh/natural/earthy vibe (like Whole Foods) but also a playful one with a decent amount of personality (like Trader Joe's). And feel free to play up any culinary/gourmet references you think might work well. * We're not tied at all to the current font and color scheme - we actually don't love either - so feel free to play with those elements to make the recipe card feel more on brand.
I've attached the current card as well as a word doc with the same instructions so that you have the current raw material not organized in any particular fashion. What we especially don't like about the current version is the 3 column organization by "chicken, beef, and tofu." Since only the prep step is different depending on the protein you use, a separate column for each protein feels unnecessary and confusing. Here are some brand identities that we like if it helps: Natural and playful: http://lovelypackage.com/pereg-gourmet-natural-foods/ Natural and vibrant: http://bit.ly/zsBTuu If any further brand direction would be helpful, please let me know via private message.
