We would like to create a photo-realistic close-up view of the finger-sleeve and wireless headphones similar to those shown in our sample images. The two parts do not have to be "attached" and they can float next to each other if need be. This will be used for a splash page for the product while we complete our software development.
The headphones can be all matte black, with the earbuds shaped like music notes.
The finger-sleeve material is going to be a flexible athletic material, similar to the arm-sleeves or knee-sleeves that many athletes wear. An example image of some material is included.
The buttons on the finger-sleeve will be solid and preferably have a matte finish. I'm thinking dark grey buttons with white symbols on them but I am open to different colors if you think they would look good. There should be 10 buttons arranged in two sets of 5 as shown below. We do not think we want the rectangular shaped buttons shown in the cartoon image anymore. We are instead thinking of very small circular buttons that "rise and fall" like the waves in our logo. The middle circular button can be slightly larger than the surrounding buttons so that the user can easily feel which button is which. This should be somewhat similar to the sketch that is attached. Each set of 5 buttons should be one continuous piece of material and the finger-sleeve should be able to bend in between these two sets of buttons.
The left set of five is the standard play/pause, song skips, and volume controls seen on many ipod shuffles. The right set of five is going to control the tempo of the music. The middle button is going to be a tempo synchronization button for matching the song beats to the users running cadence. The symbol for this button can be a few concentric circles. The up and down buttons will be gradual tempo increases and decreases and can be shown with double arrow "chevron" signs up and down. The left and right buttons are going to be so-called "sync skip" that will jump to the next "good" song speed for a particular runners cadence. The symbols for these can be outgoing "echo" or "sound" symbols.
Areas where you are free to be creative:
1.) The look of the sleeve material: The sleeve can be plain, or have as many design accents as you want.
2.) The model(s) that will wear the finger-sleeve and headphones: We have no preference for race, gender, etc so long as the person looks athletic.
3.) Color and stylistic accents: Most of our logo material has dark backgrounds with bright glowing text. Whether this means the design has a dark background with flowing light shadows coming off the headphones, or you go with a light background to better show the product, we will leave that up to you.
