This tab lets users record their water intake.
Screen 1: Today's Logs
Use the water bottle shape (see files) in the center, and keep the
sides mainly clear (small items ok).
Do not use the two small bottles from the existing app's main screen.
They are meant to show the user that they have exceed their goal, and
it's not at all clear in the current design. Find a better way to
1. Information on this screen
i. today's goal
ii. how much has been recorded so far
iii. how much is remaining
i. Current city name
ii. Current temperature
iii. user status, like "on a 4-day streak!" & name
3. Actions on this screen
a. Tap an icon to Open the log history screen
b. Tap the date to show the Date Selector
Shows recent dates to navigate to. When selected, this screen shows
that date. Users never go back far in their data, but use graphs for
longer history. Show 1 week min, 3 weeks max.
c. Tap the + to show the Quick Log Popover
Displayed when user taps "+" on the Today screen. It shows the user's
favorite containers in some kind of overlay on this screen. Tapping
a container logs it. The user may want more control over the details
of their log, so the popover must have a way to open that detailed
Screen: Detailed Log
This is a modal flow. It's started from the Quick Log popover. This
flow can be used to enter most of the details about a drink log. It's
a redesign of the existing log screen, with more detail.
1. Enter amount to log
Like the existing screen, you must be able to choose from a container
or manually enter a volume.
2. Choose the beverage to log
This is new. It should default to water, but allow for: coffee, tea,
soda, milk, alcohol, juice, energy drinks, and other.
3. Set Time of the log
Defaults to now. They can't change the date, only the time.
4. Read only info shown
a. amount to log (see above)
b. Current location & weather (read-only)
d. Icons of all platforms that will receive this data automatically
(FitBit, Jawbone, Nike+, Facebook). Tapping icons enable/disable, or
maybe have a "setup >" or "edit >" text that launches another screen
5. Actions on this screen
These screens help the user get going
Screen: Setup Your Goal
Everything here should be streamlined for one-tap selection when
- breast feeding?
- adjust goal with local weather?
Screen: Approve Location When In Use
This popup will be shown if the user taps "Adjust goal for local
weather" in the Setup Your Goal screen above. The popup is just text
images to explain why we'll need Location permissions.
I've attached an example of this idea from another app. Don't feel
constrained by their design, but please follow the workflow idea that
your screen will have an Approve action, and when the user triggers
that action, the system dialog will then show up.
How we'll use your location:
- to adjust your water goal automatically
- to record where you log your drinks
- to have contests in your region
Screen: Smart Goal Reminder Details (Reminders Tab)
Take the existing mini-goals (renaming to smart reminders) config
screen and make it more clear.
SCREEN 5: Explain Reminders [This screen has been ELIMINATED. DO
