kruegeba got their new app design by running a design contest:
Design initial screens for a fitness rewards app.
Check out kruegeba's App design contest…
The app allows local running stores to provide their customers with the ability to earn points based on miles recorded by running apps (Strava, Map My Run, Runkeeper, etc), and claim rewards at the store based on those points.
I very much like the blue, simplistic look that apps (linked below) like Coinbase have.
1) Sign In Screen - I don't have a lot of direction to provide here, just looking for pretty standard Sign In screen (while matching the look of other screens) look (perhaps containing logo and maybe app name?). Email/Password, Forgot Password Link, Link to Registration Page (not included in asking design). For the following designs I'm using the workflow of assuming a user has already created an account and has already joined a specific Club (running store). 2) Dashboard - This is the landing page after sign in. Dashboard will show the name of the club/store the user is currently subscribed to, as well as a summary of the total points they have earned, as well as the points they have earned for that week (can only earn a certain amount each week). The table below that will be a summary of the runs that have been synced from the users run tracking app. Cells will show the date, title of run, and the distance they ran. All screens should have a navigation on the bottom that show Dashboard | My Club | Account with associated icons. 3) My Club - User can get to this either by tapping the name from the Dashboard, or by the navigation link on the bottom. Will show the club/stores name, as well as a table of the rewards they will be offering. Each cell should have a title, small description, and cost in points. 4) Reward Detail - Get here by tapping a cell from the previous My Club rewards table. Will show reward name/title, an image (which can be optional), description, cost in points, and a button to claim reward. I am by no means married to the structure or layout of the drawings I wrote up, they were more to help convey the ideas I put above. Also attached is the logo against a dark background.

Teo is absolutely amazing. Aside from just the execution of design, he takes the time to better understand your vision and the client experience. What we enjoyed the most about working with Teo was that even before submitting a design, he read the brief and then had follow up questions. His questions allowed us to really think about what we wanted in our product and resulted in an amazing design that we couldn't be happier with. Would definitely recommend and look forward to using his services again for future projects.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
