Let's try at least some iterations following the flat design trend. Not the long shadow trend. This mark should stand alone in black and white. If you add color (which you are welcome to do) just make sure that the logo will also work well without it. Don't make the logo depend on drop shadows or other shading, but you can use them judiciously.
No logo should have excessive small details. Those tend to weaken the logo.
In the Values sliders, I positioned it more masculine. That's about the tone of the logo, but we're also appealing to women, so we can't only feature a male character. If there's a male character, there should be a female with him.
