The first sample logo (Roy Dean Academy), is the logo of my teacher. If my logo were somewhat derivative, that would be ok (but not necessary). The sample logo (attached file) of concentric rings with water and inverted fire is my current logo.
I'd like my logo to communicate a sort of quiet balance and strength. Equanimity.
I like my current logo, but I'd like to simplify and improve it. I like that it communicates the idea of complimentary opposites or yin and yang with fire and water, but the new logo doesn't necessarily have to include either element. I don't really want my logo to look like little more than a modified taijitu (yin/yang symbol).
My current logo is more dualistic (body-mind) than the 3-sided triangle (body-mind-spirit) of my teacher's logo. My teacher's logo is also more circular. I'm open to either, or even other shapes, if it looks good. Classical shapes and sacred geometry appeal to me as well (spirals, joined spirals, Metatron's cube, etc).It would be great to have a handsome and clean looking font underneath that says "The Stillness Gym", like the "Roy Dean Academy" underneath the first logo. If included, the name should not be integrated directly into the emblem (meaning, I should be able to separate the two, depending on the application, as seen in the RDA logo).
