SmartHotFun.Com needs a Smart, Hot Logo

SmartHotFun.Com

SmartHotFun.Com is all about being honest about one of the most basic things we do as humans – have sex. It’s a site founded upon the theory that if we start talking, thinking, and being more conscious about sex, sex will be more consistently amazing.

Update: I deleted everything because it was apparently unhelpful. Here is a description that I feel will be much more specific and much more helpful.

#1 This website is being made for people who are having sex. But for now, I’m trying to fly under the sex negative radar, so I’m not looking for an overtly sexual logo. That being said, I do want two people included in the logo somehow. And without being overtly sexual, I want those two people to look like they have some mad chemistry and have had some great sex with each other recently.

The image that comes to mind is two peeps, standing back to back, with coy half smiles, trying to check the other person out. (Although if you have a totally different mental image that you think will blow my mind, I’d love to see it!)

I’d like 1 person to be dude-ish and 1 person to be lady-ish (I actually have been imagining it as the two photos I’ve included of myself, but transformed into a lady and a fella). I say ‘ish’ because I don’t want them to just be overblown caricatures of masculinity and femininity. In the real world, most peeps don’t actually perform their gender that hard on a regular basis.

I also want folks to look non-anglo. Interpret that one as you will.

#2 I would like for the people to be a detachable part of the logo. I want to have the option to display the logo either with or without the two people. This means that I do want the “SmartHotFun.Com” part of the logo to have it’s own personality.

#3 The logo should pop and be eye catching. The site is one that (is hoping) to send a message that the best way to have great sex is break from the status quo of silence. I want the logo to be as bold as the site’s mission.

#4 I don’t want a “girly” logo or a boring logo. Every single sex educator out there (pretty much) either has a boring logo or a logo that oozes so much estrogen it scares many guys away.

#5 The shape of the logo is not as important to me as scalability. I’d like something that has the potential to look good on twitter, facebook, the site, and my love of square business cards. If you have something rectangular that you think will kill it, I’m down to see that too.

The two photos of me can be used as an example of my idealization of hot and fun as well as what “non-white” might look like.
