Below is part of an email from my boss/client (the business owner), which is extremely descriptive and incorporates a lot of different imagery - however, logo must be simple, clean and uncluttered.
'Some adjectives to focus on would be Holistic and nonlinear, but not at all new agey or hippy. We want to communicate a serious mission in that the work that we do is a scalable solution to the global climate change and it’s simple and right under our feet (in the soil). It’s evolutionary as well (see cave painting imagery attachment). We are constructing and managing landscapes with livestock, by mimicking the behavior of the wild animals on the walls of ancient caves. It’s a big endeavor but also elegant and streamlined. We are combining the best science has to offer in measuring soil chemistry, while combing with it the art of grazing in nature’s image - healthy soil, clean, abundant water. Virginia can return to its own unique version of the Serengeti it once was. Think NEW agriculture that works with nature instead of against it.
See attached sketch - a nod to the ancient cave paintings with an organic signature-style “APD” (in hot pink).
We’re creating something truly special and unique on the product side while engaged in a deep, egalitarian public service.'
Again, this is a lot of information and imagery but two very important words to keep in mind are SIMPLE and CLEAN.
