How Dan111997 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a survival gym and outdoor school specializing in getting people to realize their full genetic potential. We use a variety of methods including Crossfit, MovNat, odd object lifting, body-weight training, etc. We also train people in outdoor skills like backpacking, land navigation, climbing and wilderness survival. We prepare people for life, not to get better at exercising. Target audience: the crowd that frequents REI, Whole Foods, wears yoga pants, drives Subarus and goes to the local farmer’s markets (or the crowd that wants to be that crowd).
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We are looking to not only build a gym, but a lifestyle of “Active Existence” hence “Axistence”. We, the owners are bearded, ex-military, eagle scouts, survivalists (but not the crazy kind, more like the Brawny Man or MacGyver), and realists with backgrounds in Paleo Nutrition, Exercise Science, Crossfit, MovNat and all kinds of other ancestral health and sciency stuff. We want to make an impact on the health and fitness industry that has yet to be seen. The Axistence line looks to span not only into Athletics but also into Outdoor gear, Adventure Travel and more. So potentially a logo we could put on some quick dry khakis or a button down shirt that you could wear to a dinner party and then Jason Bourne out the fire escape and hideout in the woods for a few days (yes, I used Jason Bourne as a verb). Basically your typical Friday night.
