Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a sports performance, basketball skills trainer, and personal trainer based out of Alaska. I work with large groups (basketball camps), teams, small groups, and individuals; but, most importantly, I work with people who are motivated to make themselves better and are looking for the guidance to make that happen. Having been there myself, I believe that EVERYONE has the ability to achieve their dreams - whether that be a college scholarship or pro contract, or reclaiming their health. My future vision includes digitally accessible sports performance and basketball skills programming to reach the far expanses of rural communities in Alaska to inspire, connect, and help people make themselves better. In shirt designs, I have highlighted the AK in make a yellow gold (Alaska state colors are navy and yellow gold), and loved the way that looked. It's not mandatory in my logo design, however I do think it's a nice touch!

First and foremost, thank you for your hard work on this!! My vision for Make Yourself has been, and always will be, about changing lives. This has been the current branding I've been using.. I think the biggest problem is that it's not consistent. I'm not super happy with it and want to essentially start from scratch. My website is makeyourselfunstoppable.com (because the web domain for makeyourself.com) was taken. I hope to one day abandon the word "unstoppable" all together and don't want it incorporated in this design. I am excited to have a fresh mind (you!) working on this design to really represent the story of not just myself, but all the people I work with now and hope to work with in the future. The dots in the main logo are meant to look like they are making the words, but I think we kind of missed the mark on that a bit and never use that design. In the photo with all the campers, I highlighted AK and also incorporated a basketball player, just because the shirts were specifically for the camp. The shirt my friend is wearing is more of a general design, since I train more than just basketball players. The state of Alaska doesn't have to be incorporated into the design, but I do love the idea of it being represented somehow, whether that be highlighting the AK in make or using the state itself. You're the expert, so let those creative juices flow!
