Revised 11/21/06 4pm pt. Need a logo that looks professional for computer and copier repair folks but edgy enough to appease race mechanics. It needs to work in both color and black-n-white, ligible in smaller sizes such as on a pen and look nice on letterhead. Prefer a horizontal logo over vertical but am willing to examine any quality images. Link to current logo: http://promechanics.com/images/promechlogo_color.gif More in the long description...

What's your vision?
Tagline: none at this time - willing to consider new ones Desired Style: prefer horizontal over vertical Accepted File Formats: eps or ai (compatible with version cs) ProMechanics began as an information source for bicycle race mechanics (think Tour de France). We later added an online retail store to help the race mechanics locate tool cases and pouches that were difficult to locate. Since that point our clientele has grown to include a significant number of office technicians, the folks who service office equipment such as copiers, computers and printers and telecommunication technicians. We have a few significant changes in store for our website and want to develop them along with a new logo. Our current logo is a rendition of a logo that was drawn a few years ago and now has a few flaws: 1) the logo (mechanic carrying wheel and tool) is not easy to understand by folks outside of the bicycle race world 2) the logo no longer reflects the various services covered by our clientele 3) the logo is cartoonish, thus not very professional The website is about to break into three sections: store, resources and mechanic related updates. Each of those sections will reflect various mechanic arenas such as office technicians, race mechanics and shop mechanics. The new focus will be on professional mechanics, anyone who devotes their life to the service of others through mechanical support and attempts to make a living at it. Our main focus will still be on race mechanics but we are branching into other sports such as motorcycles and automobile racing. So, to the logo. We are looking for a logo that reflects these changes, that appears professional for the telecommunication and office folks while staying edgy enough for the race crowd. We want an logo that looks great in color but while still legible in black and white. We prefer a horizontal logo as it will fit on envelopes and letterhead a bit smoother and fit into the webdesigns that are currently in the works. However, we will consider vertical or cubic images if they meet the needs listed above. All logos must be presented in .ai format (adobe illustrator cs) or eps and not in CS2 versions.
