mai is a Japanese takeaway shop in central London, in the exclusive Mayfair neighborhood - serving both lunch takeaway meals for office workers aged 20-50 years working in the area particularly women, as well as deli items for single office workers/young professionals to pick up on their way home. We seek to offer affordable, simple, healthy, fresh and wholesome yet delicious takeaway Japanese lunches/snacks/dishes - emphasising modern Japanese cuisine beyond sushi. Food will include sushi, sashimi and noodle salads, other cooked foods.
Logo types to explore
In my uploaded images samples 7-9 you can see examples of some cool graphic designs - these are "made up words" by the Chinese artist Xu Bing. Each of the characters looks like a chinese character but infact they are not chinese characters but fake characters which have been composed using the alphabet - look closer and you will see "Xu Bing", Horse", "Nursery". I thought this might be an interesting concept for our logo.
