Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Lanzerac Country Estate is currently a Bed and Breakfast situated in the world renowned Barossa Valley wine region in South Australia.
We have recently purchased the property and from Sept 2013 we will be refurbishing the property to transform it from its current traditional 'country' look into a four to five star rated upmarket Bed and Breakfast provider. The property's current website (http://www.lanzerac.com.au) shows the venue as it has been looking for approximatley 15 years. We will be relaunching in early 2014 with the 5 existing suites decorated in a modern french provincial style, as well as transforming the on-site European style 'barn' into a conference facility for approximately 12 guests upstairs as well as the ability to host functions such as weddings downstairs.
The target market therefore is a combination of the corporate market looking to have private conferences in a luxurious setting (generally Mon-Thur) and the traditional Food and Wine tourist (Fri-Sun) looking to explore the many wonderful restaurants and wineries the Barossa Valley has to offer.

I am mindful that to an outsider the words "Lanzerac Country Estate" may trigger thoughts purely of a winery, as many wineries in the region utilise the word "estate" in their name. Although we do produce wine grapes on-site this is an insignificant element as we dont create our own wine from it. The vines enhance the property's link to be in the centre of the Barossa Valley.
I think the word Lanzerac should be the most prominent word and the words "Country Estate" perhaps slightly reduced? I am open to the idea of highlighting the letter "L" as a logo element although I think the letter "L" is a difficult letter to highlight on its own but I welcome anyone creative enough to try it.
Perhaps the use of an image similar to a shield or crest would help frame the wording if done correctly, although it can't seem to appear as too traditional in its look. Some sort of decorative framing would help create an element of prestige, an example is attached.
Another option could be to incorporate a silhouette image of the 'barn' facility as it is a feature of our property that differs us from other Bed and Breakfast properties. An image of the barn has been attached.
PS - there is another property called Lanzerac in South Africa - please don't get us confused with them and try and avoid being too similar to their logo.
