Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Honey Do For You of Georgia is a business that is dedicated to helping with all of your basic home maintenance needs from replacing air filters and light bulbs to assembling bookshelves and furniture to basic car maintenance.
This company is more than a way to earn money, it’s a passion for me. While my business services anyone who needs help with their basic home maintenance needs from single mothers, to dual income families that just don’t have enough time in their schedules, my target audience is the 65 and older community whom I have a deep desire to help keep in their homes.
As background, I was adopted later in life by two amazing people who had two biological children and then had two children who did not survive their first few days of life. Because my parents were older, in many ways I was raised by a different generation with traditional values (think throwback to the 1950s). Today my father has passed but my mother is still in her own home and when I visit her, I spend much of my time helping maintain her home.
For the logo for my business I want something that appeals to this older generation yet does not alienate others who might want to leverage my services. I’m thinking something nostalgic that evokes feelings of a trusted service provider of days gone by such as the milkman, handyman, mailman (Obviously the handyman is more aligned to my business, but these are examples of the nostalgia I’m going for). I’m wondering if these are a way to do a modern twist on the handyman type image carrying in his tools. I’d prefer to have the image in orange and white, and, if a third color is needed, I like navy blue, but I’m no artist so if you think a different color would be good, if it’s even needed, then go for it.
