Tagline - The Art of Secure Code
This is a B2B service so we want a real corporate feel. Typical target audience is IS/IT and software developers of Fortune 1000 enterprises. What the 360 connotes is circular or cyclical. As in the life cycle of software. Software is written and debugged, goes through the quality assurance cycle in pre-production, goes into production and is then monitored for production defects. The monitoring gives feedback into another continuous iteration of the application design cycle where once again we initiate the process at software / application design. Our product is designed to scan specifically for security vulnerabilities at the beginning of the cycle, as the software code is being written. We then apply techniques to remove the security vulnerabilities from the code rather than try to mitigate them in deployment. Information provided through our reporting all through the application life cycle will impact our ability on the front end to scan for new vulnerabilities of the code. So the two connoting values we want to get across here in a B2B perspective in the design elements - Security company (security motifs) - Application code and/or the code cycle (cyclical motifs)
Logo types to explore
See the enclosed PPT on security company branding - Note the slide with the competitor logos. We need to strike a balance between a corporate B2B look which they are all after and we would ideally like some differentiation from that group, particularly the ones on the left for SAST, - To this extent, we had some ideas on a slate blue / slate green color mix with grey trim, but we are very open as long as the goals are met. It cannot look more like a consumer logo for instance in the attempt to differentiate colors.
