Thank you Green_Design! Provided a dozen great options and made the process easy with quick changes and creative design.
The design by Dezak was different from the rest yet still captured the look and feel I had envisioned, plus more. It was a tough decision , but Dezak's uniqueness inched ahead.
Melanie went above and beyond. I couldn't have dreamt of a better result!
How frederick fight club started their logo design journey

Downtown Fight and Fitness
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Large gym with boxing ring, cage and martial arts but quickly becoming a fitness powerhouse for everyone from high end athletes to middle age white collars who still want a hard physique. Looking for edgy and cool while appealing to all of our members who come work out -from a variety of backgrounds - but with a common purpose. We are NOT the box gym model. We offer something more and want to show that in our logo. We have the best trainers who guide our members to results; no heated towels and saunas here.
Our current name is Frederick Fight Club and we will keep that name as a sub-brand. We were founded by two bad-ass police officers/members of swat. Place has a good vibe and we want a logo to symbolize it. We are considering a retro look (think old time pepsi/peterbilt). Love red(deep) and black and gunmetal. Photos of facility, below, show feel of place (we are in process of repainting and redesigning but will keep color scheme; using vintage boxing photos as inspiration).
