Although we are in the non-profit, domestic violence space, the landscape is saturated with images of hands, hearts, female faces and silhouettes, etc. We are NOT looking for that type of imagery.
We are looking for imagery that communicates trust, protection, safety, integrity, honor, etc. We are intrigued by images of an eagle, or lion - something to communicate strength and protection, but are open to other designs, and appropriate imagery. We are not set on lion or eagle imagery...
We'd consider something that resembles a seal (circular design), but it can't mimic a government seal.
We want something clean, that can scale from letterhead, business card, to t-shirts or mugs. We want something that can be branded, and that will be recognizable from the field even with our name removed (eventually).
Purple is the color of the domestic violence advocacy so purple should be included. No strong feelings about any other colors, but not looking for too many colors.
We are the only national non-profit dedicated specifically to this area of advocacy; therefore, we have no true competitors. Our closest competitors would be for-profit security agencies.
