Om-Weights Yoga is a system which combines weight training with the benefits of yoga, taking a creative vinyasa flow yoga practice and teaming it with innovative exercises utilising dumbbells and ankle weights. The practice remains true to the traditions of yoga, incorporating pranayama (breath work), bandhas (energy locks) and meditation and providing an opportunity to de-stress, re-energise and re-connect.
It is targeted towards both the established yoga market and towards gym-goers who would like to gain more functional movement and flexibility, but may be put off by the traditional image of yoga. The typical age of an Om-Weights Yoga student might be anywhere between 20s to 50s.

I've picked these designs from the options given by 99 Designs, but please also check below for logos I have uploaded, as these are closer to my ideal aesthetic.
I would like the logo to convey intelligence and sophistication, as well as a youthful, 'hipster' vibe, conveying a yoga aesthetic. I like muted colours rather than bright, but am also happy to explore neutral tones. I would like something that can be overlaid on various colour backgrounds. It would be good to explore having symbols which represent both yoga and weights in the logo, although I am also very open to more abstract designs. I'm not keen on having an image of someone sitting in lotus position in the design. I have attached some examples of other yoga logos which I like.
Also, just to let you know that although I am only commissioning a logo to begin with, I am planning to purchase other services such as social media materials and a brand guide in the future, and I will stay with the same designer as for my logo for these.
