I've seen the amazing things that you creative people are capable of and believe quality doesn't come from micro-managing at the start. Have fun with it and we'll go from there.
I will say that I've always loved the memrise logo, it stuck with me ever since I saw it. I will also point out that 3d filaments are like coloured wires if you feel like incorporating that in. I also liked the silver 3d cube but thought the cheap silver and low definition looked terrible. The rabbit was striking too. I hope I'm not being a stereotypical nightmare customer, those were just some of my thoughts and I really do want you to have freedom to go down whatever route you want at the beginning. I look forward to seeing what you create.
One last idea. The dot of the I being a drop of liquid could be cool? Take my ideas merely as opinions and as a measure of my taste.
