Tomo Hostel is a new lodging option in the city of Guayaquil - Ecuador , South America .
It´s located in an old heritage building (from around 1940´s), located in the heart of the financial district of Guayaquil.
Tomo Hostel´s design seeks to provide quality lodging and service at a low cost.
We want to offer quality design, as well as a pleasing aesthetic experience.
" Tomo" in Spanish means "Volume", which means "a bound book with its own numbering that belongs to a larger collection". This name is aligned with the design concept and decoration which will be constructef from the following elements:
1) The rooms have specific themes inspired by classic literature works that are related to the pleasure of traveling or taste of adventure , which will be adapted to pop art , for example :
a. From the earth to the moon - Jules Verne
b . Alice in Wonderlad - Lewis Carrol
c . Wizard of Oz - Lyman Frank Baum
d . Around the globe in 80 day - Jules Verne
e . Moby Dick - Herman Melville
f . Hitchiker 's guide to the galaxy - Douglas Adams
Although all these works are classics, the image we want to show will be fresh and urban decoration .
2) The common areas will be decorated with expeditionary elements as world maps from different eras and art styles.
Our target market are guests who look for low prices, but tend to avoid generic lodging facilities (cookie cutter hostels) and value the possibility to interact with other travelers through a friendly environment that promotes interaction between guests and the sharing of travel experiences.
