Create a Modern, Design-Inspired Logo and Background for PhilosoTea

What's your PhilosoTea?

Our company sells premium loose-leaf tea and tea accessories to men and women aged 25 to 40 that are attracted to hip and contemporary design. These are people who are willing to pay a premium for gourmet products.

The design I am looking for is simple, bold, and modern. The logo itself should be clean and eye catching with a distinct signature background like in the samples attached. I indicated to include the slogan, but I'm open to it just including the name of our company, PhilosoTea.

Ideally, the logo and background design will be impressive enough that when included on packaging, customers will want to display the product, not just put it away. Imagine it popping when seen on packaging on a shelf.

This isn't your grandma's tea, and it isn't an eastern philosophy tea either. Instead, it's modern, and design-inspired. It would fit right in on a design blog like http://www.thecoolhunter.net or http://www.NotCot.org

I would like the background design to embrace modern geometric structures, but can also include white space (Please see the included examples, especially the Kilogram Tea as an example of white interspersed with geometric patterns.) I like the idea of having the geometric structure patterns as a background surrounding the logo. It is imperative that the design not be stock, and be 100% original.

The logo can be in a square/rectangle/oval or can be free floating against the background.

I'd like the colors to be natural and bold like the colors in the attached examples. But I am open to other color schemes. The pallet of colors should be limited in order to make printing cost effective.

The design should be able to be reduced or enlarged as needed, and should be able to be applied as the design theme for packaging, brochures and other branding materials.
