Focus Forward is the theme name for the 2016 SMPS Southeastern Regional Conference. SMPS (smps.org) stands for the Society for Marketing Professional Services and is the only marketing organization dedicated to creating business opportunities in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry. The Society represents 6,000+ marketing and business development professionals aligned with one of its 50+ Chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Each year, these Chapters organize geographically and hold a regional conference in their respective area. Our team is responsible for planning the 2016 Southeastern Regional Conference (SERC) to be held in Charleston, South Carolina, in March. Marketing and business development professionals in the A/E/C industry are invited to attend. The event is open to SMPS and non-SMPS members. Our vision for the 2016 Focus Forward conference is to prepare every A/E/C marketer to realize the full potential of the Information Age. Todays A/E/C marketers are faced with exciting opportunities and new challenges. Highlighted by digital advancement, the Information Age continuously shifts our approach to marketing, strategic planning, and project delivery. Marketers need to plan strategically and lead their companies in embracing new tools and processes that will support company goals. Attendees to the conference will walk away with a better understanding of the technology, tools, and processes necessary to improve the marketing and business development functions at their respective A/E/C firms.
