Bar Hop is a walking bar tour service and is all about getting strangers together and visiting three bars in three hours. The location for this business is Perth, Western Australia. The target audience is people between the ages of 25 and 50 who are either tourists visiting Perth, people who are working in Perth temporarily, and people who may have recently moved to Perth who have a limited number of friends. We’re also looking for an audience that would be comfortable hanging out in inner-city bars, rather than outer-suburban pubs (read funky small bars….and not pubs!)

What we think our logo should say…
Ideally the visual design will be a combination of fun and style. It should be fun but not in a way that would suggest a group of 18 year olds drinking 20 vodka shots and then vomiting. It should be stylish but not in a way that a potential patron would be put off because their clothes are not Armani or Prada. We want to be funky cool, rather than upmarket cool. We plan to potentially launch in other Australian cities, so the logo should not be specific to Perth.
Stuff we like (but are not wedded to –so don’t be limited by these ideas!)…
o We like smooth, clean lines
o We do like art deco and retro styling but are keen to see a variety of ideas and we’re definitely not adverse to a modern look either
Stuff we don’t like…
o Mascot type images (no hopping bunnies or kangaroos please!)
o Logos that are too busy
o Images of glasses or alcohol bottles (unless they were very clever and subtle)
How we’ll use our logo…
We are looking for a logo that will work well on our website (in development) and versions for both black and white backgrounds. The logo will also be used on business cards, eDMs and flyers.
