This business is an inn/bed & breakfast style lodging. We are looking for a stylish, very professional logo to use for all branding and marketing including website, business cards, brochures, roadside sign, mugs, etc.
We have an excellent reputation in terms of both guest service and the amenities we provide. The inn's location is 6 miles from the coastal town of Mystic seaport, which is the biggest tourism draw in Connecticut. Because Mystic has many inn's emphasizing the coastal theme, we emphasize our very private, quiet woodlands setting filled with beautiful gardens and wildlife. The area includes many cedar and pine trees and the undergrowth has many ferns. We have lots of lovely outdoor seating areas including a firepit and outdoor pavillion.
One thing that makes our location unique is that we are nestled in between two Native American reservations. One mile from the inn is the best Native American museum in the country.
The inn is Connecticut Green Lodging certified. We pride ourselves in providing an organic, healthy, and environmentally-conscious experience for our guests. The food we serve is organic as are the bath amenities in the rooms. Parts of the inn included reclaimed lumber which gives it a lovely lived-in feel. We like to encourage our guests to be active and take advantage of the areas hiking, kayaking, and beach opportunities to name a few.
There are miles of onsite hiking trails starting on our property and linking up with a trail network developed by the Pequot tribe, including the trail to the top of Lantern Hill. Lantern Hill, our namesake, is one of the nicest hikes in the area, and was a spiritual and lookout spot for the local Native Americans long before the Europeans arrived.
We have future plans to drop "Abbey's" from our name and simply be either "The Lantern Hill Inn" or "The Inn at Lantern Hill". We would like the logo to be adaptable to accommodate the name change when it happens.
Our Target Audience are primarily couples aged 25-60, who are socially-conscious, adventurous, financially comfortable and looking for an experience that is authentic, unique, immersed in the local culture, and slightly rustic/offbeat, but not overly so.
