Length of skirt for ballet girl.
I really like the style of clothes she has on. I would like the ballerina girl to have on a sweater very similar to this and a skirt the same look but maybe a little shorter (about the length in the other picture I attached of two little girls). I also love the colors in these illustrations- very earthy. In short, I want the ballerina girl to wear an outfit simulator this just "ballet-ish" with tights and ballet slippers on.
Inspired by this look.
Position of feet
Position of legs and feet
Please notice the lines of the ballerinas legs and feet
Very arched, beveled feet.
Tight fifth position of the feet
Notice the legs and feet
I even imagined a leaping ballerina (through the fields) holding the feeding bucket with some pigs watching her.
I want to make sure that all ballerina drawings have the correct ballet placement (see feet for info)
Beveled feet in "tendu devont"
Perhaps she could be holding her feeding bucket and piglets around her
Imagine this Dancing position with a shorter tutu and pigs around her.
My wife is a ballerina. But we decided to ditch city life and buy a farm in the mountains. We really like the artwork of Jan Brett in her books ''The Wild Christmas Reindeer.'' and "Trouble with Trolls". We like the snow, the clothing style, how timeless it is, knitted outfits, and the alone in nature feel. We had a imagined an oldschool young ballerina (age 8-11) in working ballerina clothes (not show night attire) bending over to feed a pig with a bowl, as our logo. As if the girl just got finished with her ballet class and ran outside to feed her pig. It is winter time, and she is dressed warmly in a Jan Brett style outfit. On pointe shoes, no tutu, with legwarmers, and ballerina cold gear. The pig is a berkshire pig, of adolecent age, as seen in attached file.
