Naughty Pie, llc.
est. 2014
Naughty Pie, llc. (NP), is a minority (Pacific Islander), woman owned, veteran family operated business incorporated in 2014. Baking traditional and modern pies offered "naughty (baked with fresh flour, sugar, butter, eggs and locally sourced produce" and "nice (our own gluten free flour mix, sweetly sugar free and even, vegan)." What it looks like when you come to our pie stand and select your slice of pie is we will ask you if, "You want it naughty...or nice?" NP brings to life the possibility of community, fun, compassion & abundance.
An example of our pie selection that will be available naughty or nice is: Perfectly Pecan, Abundant Apple, Luscious French Silk, Sweet Peach, Sublime Lime, Shebang Meringue, Pure Chocolate Bliss. We also offer a hand-crafted line of high protein, gluten free, sugar free and vegan power bars. These will all fall under our "nice" line of products: Chocolate Peanut Butter Crisp Squares, Matcha Green Tea Cashew Butter Truffles, Coconut Cashew Truffles, Crispy Kale Squares, Carrot Cake Power Bars, Sweet Potato and Pecan Power Bars, Banana Split Protein Bars. Our "nice" power bar line supports local colleges, and juice trucks targeting the fitness community and fitness events as well as being offered at our different Farmer's Market venues.
What makes our company distinct is that customers are transformed by their experience. From the moment that you approach our pie stand, to the time that you walk away, the feeling of connection and being heard, the fun anticipation of that blissful first bite into a mouthwatering slice of pie...we are driven by the experience of our customers and sparked by what happy tastes like, in every bite. Time tested, treasured family recipes, make with the skilled hands of a certified executive chef, whose roots run deep and whose culinary passion can be felt in each, sublime bite. Each of our products has that "secret ingredient" - the one that cannot be replicated.
NP's target market are Farmer's Markets in the San Diego, CA area, along with local Festivals. Our focus is on customers with a preference for hand crafted, surprisingly healthy, sublime indulgences. Ultimately, we would like to scale to the global, wholesale markets.
Antiqued, Vintage, Black & White, Black & Silver, prefer BLACKBERRY
pie...think Norman Rockwell for color inspiration
***Notes have been MODIFIED from our original notes to a new way to
brand that we want to see drafted based on INCREDIBLE feedback from
our Naughty Pie, LLC community*****
My husband and I have been married for 21 years and we have 4
beautiful children.
In the spirit of a child we lost (she passed away early on in my
pregnancy) and also honoring how all four of our children really
looked so much alike when they were little, I thought...what if I take
a photo of our youngest son, Ronin when he was little (he is only four
years old now), arms folded, and relaxed, behind his head, blissfully
sleeping...warmly content. We request that you use his figure to
inspire the child in the image, but make "him" a little girl (the
spirit of the child we lost that I know, at age 3 would have had
somewhat long, dark, slightly wavy hair, faint wisps and curls going
all kinds of directions) from the waist up only (we will upload a
perfect photo of our son that you can use as inspiration for the
close-up). Picture "her" with a 3/4 eaten pie tin sliding down her
chest, clearly scooped and eaten with her little hands as there are
crumbs and pie, ALL over her face and hands....a blissful, fully
satisfied, happy, innocent....Naughty Pie!
Some other details in this new draft to please incorporate:
Style: Realistic, like looking into a dream...vintage, aged, antiqued,
sketched with realism and emotion and passion, a deep sense of
satisfaction in the child's expression with what she just filled her
tummy with
Color: A few versions to consider: an antiqued version, a black and
white (or silver) version, color only in the pie (red cherry) and
crumbs ALL over her/her face, her clothes...play with Lipstick Red
Text for the "Naughty Pie, llc" or also the text in black
Text: Naughty Pie, llc (somewhere in the logo) as well as "est. 2014"
Specific goal: a simple, not overly complicated logo so that it can be
easily scaled up or down, each detail is very intentional, the magic
will be in capturing the child's blissfully satisfied expression
clearly and emotionally
Scene: Either have her laying on a picnic blanket under a tree, or
even closer up than that...open for what you envision here to help
keep the logo clear
Admittedly, most of our 21 years together have been pretty serious.
For this, our new chapter, I am the Captain of the ship and it's all
about fun, freedom, clarity and being madly, deeply in love. We will
have a whole philanthropic division of our product line, ultimately
"paying it forward" to children in need. It is my honor, to be a part
of something bigger, to not just live and die without making a
difference in this world. I want people to smile when they hear our
story and when they see our logo, the laugh comes out! With just
seeing Naughty Pie's brand, I want people to instantly associate that
with great tasting, freshly made, memorable products, something
brilliant, a moment of joy from their youth. There is a lot of
antiquity to my character, something vintage, charismatic, loving,
whole and complete. This character often translates itself into my
cooking...when I cook something, it very often will taste exactly like
what my grandmother and her mother before her cooked, but made with
fresher, more modern ingredients. I am defined by my approachability,
my integrity, and by the comfort that food can bring regardless of
time and place.
