New icon design wanted for Mac OS X Application

Software for Mac OS X and iOS. This is our first Mac OS X product.
What's your vision?
An application icon for Mac OS X application. One icon design should be produced in several specific resolutions, found in the Apple Human Interface Guidelines (linked below). In general, the design needs to be recognizable from 16x16 up to 1024x1024. The application is called ReadabilityWriter. It is aimed at educational publishers: specifically, writers and editors who develop books aimed at grades K-8. The application is a standard word processor with two market-specific features: - Readability calculation. This calculates how difficult a text is, and helps writers keep a text aimed at, say, third graders on a third grade reading level. - Vocabulary tracking. This helps authors manage when new words are introduced into a text or a series of texts. If the design incorporates a document element, it should have the perspective and shadow specified in the Human Interface Guidelines. An example is the icon for Numbers: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/numbers/id409203825?mt=12 Alternatively, it can look three-dimentional and appear straight-on. An example is the icon for Pages: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id409201541?mt=12 The icon should not look like an iOS icon, nor should it look flat and straight-on. The target audience works within a creative environment, and you should be able to incorporate some fun and whimsy into the icon design without losing credibility with the market. However, your design should should still communicate that it is a productivity app that is designed to make their professional jobs easier. The final deliverable for the winning design must include editable Photoshop PDS files. Final assets that I packaged for the App Store will be several resolution-specific PNGs with an sRGB color profile. You must either provide the PNGs, or the PSD files must be ready to export to the final output without any adjustments.
