I am a speaker who calls himself a "recovering perfectionist" and my main topic is called "Striving for Imprefection" (purposely mis-spelled). The concept behind it is that it's better to do something well and really do it than to wait until you can do it perfectly and never start. It's a fun lively presentation.
I will be speaking to a large audience in July. I want to introduce a series of t-shirts folks can buy after seeing me speak. Most of the people in the audience will be 35 and older and they will be there to lose weight. I will be getting them to take a pledge to stop being "perfect-o-holics" and to move forward. I thought a fun t-shirt would be suitable.
Whenever, I use my theme, I always mis-spell the word "imperfection" and I put a correction on it. I have attached an idea of what I have done as a banner ( but ignore colors - they were set to match a client's website!) - but I'm not looking for anyone to do that. I just want to show you what I mean in case that gives you any ideas.
Since the people who will be buying these shirts will be people from a weight loss group, they will be larger folks and I think a small design might get lost. However, if it works out, I might also use the design on hats or coffee mugs so versatility and scalability wouldn't hurt (but it's not important).
One of my websites is http://www.StrivingForImperfection.com and I use the colors blue, purple, yellow, and red - but that's not required. If it seems appropriate, somewhere in the design, I might like my URL listed so people can remember where they bought the shirt.
