Pleasure to work with. Really creative and responsive to feedback.
Venanzio's original idea was brilliant, and then he patiently put up with a whole series of requests from me and we ended up with a brilliant design. I highly recommend Venanzio
Always a pleasure to work with!

It was a pleasure working with Dex, he captured the vision of my book exceptionally well. It was as if he was in my head designing what I had envisioned. He is a thoughtful and excellent designer and I will have him to design my next book cover.

The book is a philosophical memoir of ten years of travel to 45 countries, seeking information about myself and the human world around me. Readers are challenged to look the way they have arbitrarily learned to do things and throw themselves into their own personal unknown. They will find deeper depths and higher highs because they will finally know who they really are.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I want a mature but alluring design that evokes the underlying mythology of personal development as a journey into the unknown that I am trying to convey. It should attract deep thinkers, but not necessarily be interesting for readers looking for something light and casual about travel. I like the idea of simple but powerful imagery - something that gives you an instant sense of what kind of read you are in for. This isn't for everyone. Color choices are not very important, but nothing that conveys shallowness or immaturity.
Here are some examples of book covers that I think use simple but powerful imagery to convey the tone and subject of what they are about:
