I am trying to build a customized fitness application that needs to be easily accessible and intuitive for the personal trainer and his client to use. Essentially, what the app does is display a user's workout schedule, with schedule outlays similar to the generic calendar in the current iPhone, as well as a description of the prescribed workouts for that day comparable to the detail one would receive from a personal trainer.
Another unique part of this fitness app that separates it from others is the audio of the description on how to perform the exercise that can play once each workout is selected.
Because each customer will have a unique workout and schedule, there needs to be a sign in landing page. This can be a generic page, and for now the name of the business is MSFitness. If you want to do a fitness based graphic, it would be great for a simple page like this.
Once the user has signed in, the next page should be as follows:
First, this application should five tabs at the bottom of the UI. “Schedule” “exercises” “workout tips”, “personal info.” And lastly “instructions”
The main landing page should have three items running across the screen horizontally. This is essentially the main page of the “schedule” tab, the first on the bottom left. On the page should appear “Master schedule” “This week” and “Today”. The customer's name should appear at the top to read as "Mary's Workout Schedule".
When you slide either of those across, or press either of those, it should take you to another page where you can see your workout schedule either over a month schedule for “master schedule” a weekly workout page under “This week” and that days workouts for “today”.
Under the “today” page, the goal such as “goal: core/back” should read across the top. Then, there should be clickable workout exercises running down the screen. You can refer to any fitness app on how this should look, but the parts that should be included are:
1. The name of the exercise
2. A little photo or image to the left of the name of the position as reference.
3. And the number of sets and reps.
4. The LB signage for the weight to use.
5. A little audio clickable item
Once the user clicks the name of the exercise, it should take them to another page with more detailed instructions of how to do the exercise. Here it should have all the basic information such as photos of begin, middle, and end, instructions under each of those photos, as well as the sets, reps, and pounds needed. Lastly, it should also have that audio button for the audio to start playing.
The user also needs to be able to click a button to log the workout, so that the app can register that the user completed the exercise.
